StayZo Ltd. is a thriving UK serviced accommodation founded by Tom Whatton in 2018.
A product of Tom’s passion for the hospitality and property industry, formed at a young age, StayZo first opened its doors in Welwyn Garden City. At that time, only 1 or 2 bedrooms were available in the area and StayZo broke that mould by offering a 3-bedroom house – the first in Welwyn Garden City.
As the hospitality industry grew by leaps and bounds, StayZo continued to respond to the market demand by opening further accommodations in Southampton, Bradford, Coventry, Hatfield, and Peterborough.
So, whether you are looking for accommodation whilst traveling or holidaying in any one of our properties, our team will work hard to ensure your stay is everything you need it to be. We provide a “home from home environment” in all of our properties. Each one is fully equipped for living as you would at home so that you don’t have to worry about anything other than enjoying your stay.

The reputation we have is fully justified and is now beginning to earn us more tangible forms of recognition. In the prestigious LuxLife 2020 Hospitality Awards, we were given the impressive accolade of being the Best Serviced Accommodation Provider. Following on from that success we are delighted to announce that StayZo is the latest recipient of the LuxLife 2021 Awards of Excellence. Luxlife said ‘it’s important to recognise organisations that are bringing something new and innovative to their marketplace’. We don’t have to be the biggest but we are an organisation that is offering something different to what is already out there – first and foremost – a great service.
Given the impeccable standards we maintain throughout all our accommodations the award will come as no surprise to anybody that has stayed at any of our properties. What is it that distinguishes us so much from our peers in the industry and how have we managed to make such an impact? First and foremost we are good at what we do, and our team of dedicated professionals all share the same aim of providing accommodation that is amongst the very best in the industry. Despite operating in such a competitive environment and to our great credit it’s something we have managed to achieve with quite remarkable consistency, remaining as determined as ever to keep raising the bar and providing consistent quality as well as the flexibility this type of accommodation usually provides.
Serviced apartments have been around longer than most people think – making an impact, in fact, for over a decade.
Officially, ‘Serviced Apartment’ is the umbrella term for a type of furnished apartment or house available for short-term or long-term stays, which provides amenities, housekeeping and a range of services for guests and where taxes and utilities are included within the rental price.
StayZo Serviced apartments offer facilities much like a traditional hotel but with added space, convenience and privacy like home, so you can enjoy living like a local when travelling. They have private cooking facilities, a full-size kitchen, most places have a dishwasher and washing machine and have a larger living/sleeping area than most standard rooms,
‘Serviced Apartment’ as an expression has been relatively little used outside the corporate relocation and business travel markets, however, the sector is increasingly having an impact on leisure travel. People find that StayZo serviced properties are available all over the country and they are a credible and cost-effective alternative to hotels. Our properties are especially economical for longer stays or group travel whilst allowing you to live like a local.
The benefits of this flexible approach are something that gives StayZo a real competitive advantage and the system is both simple and effective. Over the years we have attracted guests from all corners of the world including countries as far afield as Kenya, South Africa, Canada, the USA, and Australia. Although we started out providing accommodation in Hertfordshire we now have properties in London, Winchester, Bradford, Coventry, Bath and Southampton with plans for further expansion in the future. Catering for everyone from local visitors to contractors on a project, everyone guest is given the same standard service. The opulent luxury of some of the properties would not be out of place in a high-end hotel and the fact that so many guests return tells you everything you need to know about the quality of the accommodation and the level of service we are given.
Great service is absolutely central to the experience that StayZo offers but only works if good communication is maintained. Before, during, and after a visit, the StayZo team ensures that we communicate quickly and accurately with their guests. It’s calming, reassuring and makes everyone feel more comfortable in their new environment. Clear instructions make everything as straightforward as possible, which is often welcome when guests arrive after a long journey. We do everything possible to ensure that guests receive everything we are looking for. If there is something specific that they need the StayZo team will do their best to make it happen.
Like everybody else in the hospitality industry StayZo has been affected by the global Covid 19 pandemic. We’ve worked hard to ensure all their properties are Covid safe, using a team of professional cleaners and an increased cleaning schedule. There are now no staff interactions and check-ins are all done remotely. We have had to deal with the cancellations that the pandemic has brought and with travel from overseas becoming more limited it has been a challenging period. We have negotiated the challenges with their usual effortless efficiency.
